Cancelling my mobile contract for international departure by
MaximeV
Hi,
I am a French guy coming to London for 10 months and, before taking a
new mobile contract with one of the British mobile brands (which are
usually for 18 or 24 months), I was wondering if, like what we have here
in France, I could terminate my contract after 10 months without paying
penalties...

BT Cellnet / O2 Pay Up Front For Life (PUFFL) by
Rashid L
I'm looking to buy this contract if anyone is selling, please let me
know. I would like this for my kids, (as paying the PAYG topups is
costing too much).
Thanks

Sending messages online by
Rad
I want to be able to send bulk messages online and specify the sender of
the messages. It will only be an average of 1 message per month sent to
around 20 people.
Obviously because of the low value messages I only need to topup with
about £15 per year. I don't want to use any sites offering...

BT mobile phone - how do I get the balance by
Les Desser
I have been given a BT mobile but it seems BT mobiles do not exist!
I can find virtually nothing on the web nor on the BT web site about BT
mobiles. Plenty about mobile Internet but nothing about phones.
Calling 150 just gives you the regular land line 150.
I want to find out my free minutes...

Unlock Nokia 1600 by
Jim
Got a friend who recently purchased a Nokia 1600 on a Tesco PAYG
tariff ...
Googling tells me this is a DCT4 handset, so should be unlockable
quite easy via some software downloadable to my PC. Is this correct ?
ISTR that there were 'variations' and some DCT4 models were a little
bit trickier to...

Nokia 7230 on O2 PAYG by
Brian W[_2_]
Got one of these phones recently, it came with firmware 5.71. Firmware 6.90
is now available, however I can't download it, either from the phone or
using Nokia software updater. O2 said to contact Nokia, Nokia say to contact
service provider!
Is there anywhere I can get the new software? Why...

Virgin - Excessive charge for Internet usage. by
Michael Chare
I used my computer to access the Internet via my mobile for for a couple of
weeks during August.
For the first 15 days the charges appear to have been reasonable although I
can't see the detail.
On the 23rd of August the internet access stopped working in the evening.
In the morning I got a...

Unlocking Nokia 3310 by
Nodge
I'm trying to unlock my wife's old Nokia 3310 so that she can use an
Easymobile sim. I found a website which gives you an unlocking code which I
entered on the phone (with the sim removed). I then got a message saying
"Sim Unrestricted). Great. It's worked I thought. But then when I put the
sim in...

Sound quality of different handsets by

handset have much influence on...

Please Help Unlock Motorola M3588 from O2 by
Tit4Tat
I need to find a way to unlock a Motorola M3588 from (from O2) IMEI
449174-07-709927-5, because O2 stop supporting this at end of June.
I know it's an ancient phone, but the folks like it's big buttons and
it does everything they want - it's just for use in case of emergency.
I've got them a new...

landline phones with sim readers by
Stephen
Hi,
A few years ago I bought some land line phones that copied the names
and numbers from a mobile sim, which was useful for caller display. I
bought a corded BT relate 2100 and a DECT BT 6210. The thing is that
they don't work with current sims but do work with old sims. I guess
something must...
