I looked at this phone at a local store. $40.
Same phone on Ebay $20.
In another thread on here I recently posted I was just looking for a
smartphone to use at Wifi spots. For phone service my flip phone with
free service is fine. I was gonna buy a used smartphone from a neighbor
kid, but he sold them.
So, I am probably gonna go the ebay route.
The phone is:
ZTE ZFive 2 LTE
5" screen, which is a little bigger than others. I considered a tablet
for larger screen, but I want a pocket phone at the moment, not
something I have to lug around.
This phone has cameras, WIFI capable, 8gb internal, and I can use micro
SD cards for storage. Anderoid (marahmallow).
I dont know a lot about these phones, but for what I want and for $20
this seems like it will work.
But one thing that I dont like. It says NON-Removable battery. Does that
mean when the battery dies, the whole phone has to be replaced? (That is
not a selling point for me). -OR- can they still be removed without
ripping the whole phone apart? (yea, i can solder a few wires if needed)
I've replaced the battery in my flip phones several times, and I even
carried a spare at one time, in case it died at a bad time. (Now I carry
one of them battery packs).
Why would they even make a phone with a non-removable battery?
Comments regarding this, please....
Thanks in advance.
